Wooden French doors come in many formats: from the classic two-door opening to many variations with side lights and top lights in many forms to suit all applications.

We use the finest quality hardwood to ensure the frame does not twist or shift with wear.

All our French doors are built to the highest UK standards to ensure the greatest levels of security without compromising look and feel.

French Doors – Wood

RABAU French doors are made of solid Matoa hardwood, laminated in 3 layers to DIN 68602/B4. The advanced technology of the 3 layer process is designed to eradicate warp and twist which is normally associated with inferior wooden doors.

French Doors - Finish

The final paint or stain finish is low-maintenance, micro-porous, water-based, and complies with DIN 68085.

We use 3 steps in our finishing process:

  1. one coat of primer
  2. one coat of pore filler
  3. final finish coat

French Doors - Glazing

We use insulated acoustic double-glazed units to the following specification:

  • 4/8/6.4 laminate
  • U value = 1.7
  • Silicone caulk on the interior and exterior
  • Filled with argon gasPilkington K toughened glass
  • Laminate glass is an optional extra @ £20 per square metre
  • Draft control
  • Noise absorbent

All our doors are covered by a comprehensive insurance-backed 10 year guarantee (subject to terms and conditions available on request). An insurance-backed guarantee is issued with every order.

  • Typical cost for a pair of French doors, double-glazed with frame, opening size 1700mm x 2100mm = £1893.00 + VAT
  • Multi point locking mechanism £240 + VAT
  • Fixed sidelights are extra.
  • Survey and Fitting add19% + VAT
