Tilt and turn windows and doors are built with key operated high security, multi point locking and with full inward opening action allows easy cleaning. The top tilt facility gives superb room ventilation without compromising security.

Designs

All our windows are made-to-measure to fit your requirements. You can choose the number of segments and openings to suit your own design.

We can offer chrome, white, brown and brass furniture as part of the package.

Frame member dimensions are 68/78mm
Sash member dimensions are 68/78mm
Sash member at terrace doors are 68/78mm at left, right and head. The sill is 68/100mm

Hardware

Concealed tilt-and-turn mechanism activated by one handle
Perimeter locking system at jamb, head and sill including 2 security hinges
Mishandling device: to avoid mishandling
Hinge caps for visible hinges
One piece gasket in white or black

Wood

RABAU hinged tilt-and-turn windows are made of solid Matoa hardwood, laminated in 3 layers to DIN 68602/B4. The advanced 3 layer process is designed to eradicate warp and twist which is normally associated with inferior wooden windows.

Finish

The final paint or stain finish is low-maintenance, micro-porous, water-based, and complies with DIN 68085.

We use 3 steps in our finishing process:

one coat of primer
one coat of pore filler
final finish coat.

Glazing

We use insulated acoustic double-glazed units to the following specification:

4/16/4 = 24 mm
U value = 1.1
Silicone caulk on the interior and exterior
One piece gasket in black or white
Filled with argon gas
Pilkington K toughened glass
Laminate glass is an optional extra @ £20 per square metre
